We have exciting news to share!
We will be continuing our extended lecture format during the 2007-2008 year.
Here’s what you can expect from now on:
- The time frame for our monthly lectures at the Westport Woman’s Club will be 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm (instead of 2:00 – 4:30 pm). Doors will open at 1:30 pm when Board Members will welcome beginners, or anyone with specific astrological questions, prior to the start of the regularly scheduled meeting.
- At 2:00 pm, the meeting is called to order, and the lecture begins shortly thereafter. Our Speakers have been asked to adhere to a new set of criteria that we believe better suits the needs of our members.
This includes in-depth chart analysis geared to the more advanced student of astrology, an interactive presentation style, and a twenty-minute Question and Answer period prior to the close of every lecture.
- At 4:30 pm, immediately following the lecture, there will be a one-hour social (with beverage and snacks provided). This year, we will read the charts of well-known (nameless) persons and attempt to identify them by their sky.
- The day wraps up at 5:30 pm, at which time we are obliged to vacate the premises.
We feel this new format is responsive to the various suggestions and comments you have offered throughout the year. We look forward to having you participate more fully in our meetings, beginning with the September 14, 2007 lecture.
