NCGR Berkshire Fairfield Study-Group Format 2011-2012
Our eight monthly study-groups will begin in September and run through May (no December meeting). They will be held on the 2nd Sunday of each month from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., with the exception of May. The May meeting will take place on the 3rd Sunday of that month. We are no longer meeting at the Westport Woman's Club; study-group locations will be announced via e-mail prior to each meeting.
Please mark the following study-group dates for the 2011-2012 season on your calendars:
September 11, October 9, November 13, January 8, February 12, March 11, April 8, and May 20
You will continue to receive e-mail notifications of our meetings but from a new e-mail address: announcements@ctastrologers.org. Be sure to add it to your electronic address book.
Board Members will alternate as study-group moderators, briefly introducing study-group topics and presenters, not to exceed ten minutes.
Members who wish to present a chart for discussion at the study-group must submit a chart request by e-mail to requests@ctastrologers.org at least one week prior to the meeting. A prompt reply will be sent by return e-mail. If your chart is selected, please abide by the following guidelines:
1. If you are presenting a person's chart, that person must be physically present at the meeting (unless it is a public figure or celebrity).
2. Whether you are presenting a personal chart or a mundane chart, kindly bring ten copies of it to distribute to the group.
3. If you would like to use our overhead projector and screen, please bring the relevant transparencies.
The Board will select topics for the season based on the suggestions you offer at the September study-group. A list will be circulated for this purpose. Those unable to attend the September study-group may submit topic suggestions by e-mail at requests@ctastrologers.org prior to the September meeting.
Paid speakers will be invited as funds allow. Notice of these events will be sent by e-mail.
A $5 fee will be collected from all attendees at each study-group.
Directions to monthly meetings will be distributed by e-mail to people on our e-mail roster. If you are not yet on our e-mail roster, you may request directions at directions@ctastrologers.org, or sign-up for our e-mail roster at announcements@ctastrologers.org.
