A Message from the Former President
of the Berkshire Fairfield Chapter

Dear Friends of Astrology,

WilsonSince 2008, our nation has been steeped in a situation of unprecedented proportions. The economic structure of our daily lives has been suspended, and the future of our nation is uncertain. As Astrologers, we know we are at the threshold of radical change. The entry of Pluto into Capricorn, Saturn into Libra, and Uranus into Aries will create a fiercely dynamic T-Square over the next several years, and the battle "above" will be reflected "below."

Knowledge of the planetary archetypes provides astrologers with uncommon insight and keen perspective. Given the momentous nature of the changes to come, the Berkshire Fairfield Board has determined that a more discussion-oriented format, that of the lecture – study group, would well suit the upcoming Fall 2010 – Spring 2011 season. The theme of the season will be that of current social and/or economic issues, which we will explore together through relevant mundane charts; and the analysis of personal charts in relation to the T-Square. Such a format serves us on several levels. It lends itself well to a group our size; it facilitates and encourages you, our members, to be more directly involved in using and honing your astrological skills; and it provides greater opportunity for questions and discussion of the day's topic.

I would like to stress that no question is too elementary. To the contrary, much of the economic quandary in which we find ourselves is due to the fact that too few questions were asked, and not enough accountability required. The coming cardinal cross is not only about implementing the 'new,' but also about facing the real life consequences of our actions. As Professor Dumbledore said to Harry, "It is not our talents and abilities that define our lives - it is the choices that we make in life."

I am hoping the study group series will assist us in better defining the road ahead, and in comprehending the events to come. The personal and collective choices we make will matter greatly.
